Visa Point™ - The Online Visa Information and Appointment System

VisaPoint is a web-based information and appointment system available to applicants for U.S. nonimmigrant visas. The VisaPoint system, an alternative to scheduling appointments via telephone, allows applicants to schedule visa interviews on the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is available in both English and Tagalog. Scheduling an appointment using this service allows applicants greater flexibility and can reduce costs compared to scheduling appointments via telephone.

Access to VisaPoint is through a personal identification number (PIN), which can be purchased for US$10 by credit card, either Visa or MasterCard using the system’s secure server. Each appointment requires a new PIN. After logging in to VisaPoint , applicants can view information on nonimmigrant visas, determine which visa type is appropriate for them, and then schedule an appointment, choosing from available appointment dates and times.

Students (F and M), exchange visitors (J), temporary workers (H, L, O, P, and Q), and their qualified dependents DO NOT NEED to have their I-20 Form (F or M visas), their DS-1219 Form (J visa), or their approval notice I-797 (H, L, O, P, or Q visas) in order to make an appointment. Rather, they should make their appointment based on the expected travel date in order to ensure the availability of an open time. They will not be issued a visa without the I-20 Form/DS-1219 Form/approved petition, but they can be interviewed BEFORE the certificate of eligibility/approved petition is issued.

VisaPoint also provides information on immigrant visas for applicants who are pursuing legal resident status in the United States. However, VisaPoint cannot be used to schedule immigrant visa appointments.
