U.S. EMBASSY CONGRATULATES MANNY PACQUIAO

            The U.S. Embassy congratulates Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao as the new International Boxing Organization Junior Welterweight Champion of the World following his dramatic victory May 2 in Las Vegas.  His victory, seen by millions around the world, including his many American and Filipino fans at the U.S. Embassy in Manila, demonstrates Pacquiao’s commitment and dedication to excellence.

With this new title, Pacman has now been champion in six different weight classes in the world of boxing, matching an all-time world record.  Manny Pacquiao is truly a model for athletes to emulate, showing magnanimity and humility in victory as the premier pound-for-pound boxer in the world.  Our congratulations to Manny!
