Ambassador Kenney greets school children at Sta. Maria Central School in Zamboanga. The teacher training component of the USAID-EQuALLS Program focuses on public elementary school teachers’ increased competency in English, Science, and Mathematics. In the past year alone, USAID trained 530 teacher-mentors in the National English Proficiency Program (NEPP), 609 in Science, and 600 in Math in Mindanao.
