Lieutenant Commander Caleb Kerr briefs the submarine’s young guests on the USS Buffalo’s state-of-the art communications system. The two dozen wards of Olongapo’s city government had a tour of the 360-foot, 6,900-ton, fast-attack submarine on June 5 at Subic’ Alava Pier. During the submarine’s goodwill visit, the Buffalo’s Commanding Officer, Cdr. Scott W. Pappano presented donated a pallet of first aid and hygiene supplies to the Olongapo Center for Assistance, Rehabilitation and Empowerment (OCARE) and the city’s Social Development Center (SDC).
