Danao City Clean-up.  U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie A. Kenney (right) participates in a coastal clean-up in Danao City on April 11.  Also participating in the activity were Daniel Moore, USAID/ Philippines Office of Environment Chief, employees of the Office of Danao City Mayor Ramonito Durano III, and USAID/Philippines staff members.  The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provided assistance to Danao City to establish a marine sanctuary in its coastal waters and construct a guardhouse to monitor illegal fishing activities.  Ambassador Kenney visited the province of Cebu on April 11 to promote environmental partnerships between local governments, NGOs and USAID in the lead-up to Earth Day on April 22.
