MARAGONDON, Republic of the Philippines – A Filipino Marine and a U.S. Marine do carpentry work on the newly reconstructed Maragondon National High School, on February 26. Members of the AFP and the U.S. military have reconstructed several of the school’s classrooms that were destroyed by a fire in 2007. This humanitarian assistance project is part of Balikatan 2008, in which military service members from the Philippines and the United States are working shoulder to shoulder to help those in need.
