USAID/Philippines Director Jon D. Lindborg and Environmental Chief Daniel C. Moore observe employees of the Bayawan City Central Materials Recovery Facility shred organic matter that will later be converted into compost and organic fertilizers. The facility is a critical component of the city’s Integrated Solid Waste Management Program, which is implemented with technical assistance from USAID. During his January 24-25 visit to the province of Negros Oriental in the Visayan region, USAID/Philippines Director Jon D. Lindborg met with local governments and institutions about the continued U.S. support for development partnerships.
