Ambassador Kenney shares holiday cheer with children, guests at Baguio Residence

Ambassador Kristie Kenney and children from Child and Youth Wellness Center (CYWC) gather around the Christmas tree during a read-along holiday party she hosted for them at the Ambassador's Residence in Baguio City on December 28. The Ambassador and the children from St. Louis University's center for disadvantaged children read T'was a Night Before Christmas earlier in the party. The Ambassador also hosted at the Residence on December 27 the traditional U.S. Embassy "Holiday in the Pines Reception" for Philippine government officials and community members of Baguio City.

CYWC is a community service-oriented center of Baguio-based St. Louis University. CYWC provides a home and safe environment for disadvantaged children and has been working with the Residential and Study Center for Children (RSCC) Department of Social Welfare and Development since 2003.

As in the previous holiday reception at the Residence, the Maryknoll Choir performed traditional Filipino and American Christmas song for the Ambassador's guests from the Philippine government and community representatives of Baguio City.
