Ambassador Kenney Visits Cebu to Launch the American Showcase and Catalog Show and USAID-Assisted Family Health and Welfare Program

Sixteen U.S. companies were featured at the exhibition: 3M Philippines, Amway Philippines LLC, Electrobus Consolidated, Inc., (Callaway Golf, Cooper Power Systems), Cargill Philippines, Cisco Systems, Inc., Citibank Savings, Dole Asia, Federal Express Corporation, Ford Philippines, Goodyear Philippines, Kraft Philippines, McGraw-Hill Education, Mead Johnson, Microsoft Philippines, and Subway Philippines, B.V. The companies are looking to expand their businesses in key markets like Cebu. In addition, over 50 companies, who are new to the Philippine market, participated in the Catalog Show and they are actively looking for agents, distributors, resellers and end-user sales here.

The show featured prominent American brands that are looking to expand their current business in the Philippines or new companies looking for local distributors or agents.
Members of Western Wats medical staff welcomed Ambassador Kenney to the company's clinic during her visit on October 4. The company provides family health and welfare services that receives assistance from the USAID Private Sector Mobilization (PRISM) Project.
Ambassador Kenney receives a demonstration from Ben Worthington, Professional Services Director of the Western Wats office in Mactan, Cebu, on accessing the company's Family Welfare Info Portal and On-line Counseling Facility. The Philippine branch of the largest survey research data collection company in the U.S., Western Wats' office now provides USAID-assisted family health and welfare services to its more than 1,300 full-time employees.
