U.S. Embassy News Release Septermber 18, 2007 “American Showcase” travels to key regions in the Philippines The U.S. Embassy’s Commercial Service Office in Manila is launching the “American Showcase” in October 2007, the biggest exhibition ever organized to help strengthen the American brand in the growing business districts of Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao. The American Showcase will feature 16 U.S. companies on the following dates: October 4 & 5, 2007, American Showcase at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu; October 17-19, 2007, American Showcase at the 1st ORO Best Expo, The Atrium-Limketkai Center, Cagayan de Oro City; and October 25-28, 2007, American Showcase at the 9th Davao Trade Expo, NCCC Mall, Davao City. In three-stops, the American Showcase will feature the products and services of 16 U.S. companies. The exhibiting companies are 3M Philippines, Amway Philippines LLC, Electrobus Consolidated, Inc., (Callaway Golf, Cooper Power Systems), Cargill Philippines, Cisco Systems, Inc., Citibank Savings, Dole Asia, Federal Express Corporation, Ford Philippines, Goodyear Philippines, Kraft Philippines, McGraw-Hill Education, Mead Johnson, Microsoft Philippines, and Subway Philippines, B.V. Back to back with the American Showcase is the “U.S. Catalog Show” featuring over 50 American companies from across the United States. Participating American firms are generally new to the Philippine market and are actively looking for agents, distributors, resellers and end-user sales here. Following the exhibition, each of the participating American firms will be provided the contact information of all interested parties. The U.S. Catalog Show is the easiest way to be in contact with leading American suppliers in various industries and admission is free! The American Showcase will provide business visitors free seminars on “Doing Business with the U.S.A.” and free product/technology presentations by the exhibiting U.S. companies. Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao are important markets for U.S. companies outside of Manila. The U.S. Embassy works with these U.S. firms to strengthen U.S.-Philippine business ties and to showcase the best of America in the Philippines. This event is presented in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc., and in partnership with the Cagayan de Oro and Davao City Chambers of Commerce.
