U.S. Ambassador Kristie A. Kenney Visits Philippine General Hospital to Dedicate Ambassador’s Cultural Fund Project

U.S. Peace Cor receives medal of achievement

U.S.-ASSISTED CULTURAL PRESERVATION PROJECT.  Ambassador Kristie Kenney visited the Philippine General Hospital on August 29 in Manila to see the ongoing restoration of four murals painted by a National Artist of the Philippines, Carlos “Botong” Francisco.  The celebrated murals are being restored by the National Museum with assistance from the U.S. Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation.  Pictured above, Ambassador Kenney discusses the initial restoration process with one of the National Museum conservators.
