Executive White House Chef Cristeta Comerford discusses her career as the first female executive chef during a U.S. Embassy Hosted Digital Video Conference

Executive Chef of The White House, Cristeta Comerford, connects with Philippine culinary chefs, critics, students, and enthusiasts during a digital video dialogue hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Manila, on August 30. Chef Comerford, born and raised in Manila, is the first woman to hold the top position in the executive kitchen.
The U.S. Embassy sponsored a digital video dialogue with the Executive Chef of The White House, Cristeta Comerford, to promote cross-cultural understanding through food. Culinary chefs, students, and enthusiasts in attendance engage Chef Comerford with questions ranging from what her favorite cooking utensil is to her experience as a Filipina chef in the U.S.

Chef Comerford studied Food Technology at the University of the Philippines and she is the first woman to hold the prestigious position of head chef in the executive kitchen.
