Young American Political Leaders Visit Philippines on Exchange Program

A 10-person delegation from the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) visited the U.S. Embassy to tour the historically significant building and meet Ambassador Kristie A. Kenney.

The ACYPL group is participating in a bilateral exchange program with the Philippines’ National Movement of Young Legislators.  The two groups are composed of young (age 25-40) legislators, government officials, and political leaders, with the mission of fostering relations between the next generation of leaders and their counterparts around the world.

The ACYPL delegation is visiting the Philippines for a week in August and is composed of four state representatives, one mayor, and five other young political leaders from across the United States.  They will meet with colleagues from Philippine local and national government to share ideas and learn from each other.
