During his week-long visit to Mindanao, visiting American Muslim scholar and leader Imam Dr. Mohamad Bashar Arafat spoke to diverse audiences of local Muslim scholars and community leaders, Christian and Muslim university students and professors, and madrassah students about working with their neighbors of all faiths for peace and development in the region. Pictured here with students at a madrassah in Marawi City, Imam Arafat also led sessions at a three-day interfaith youth camp for 60 student leaders from Muslim, Christian, and indigenous communities. Titled "Building Youth Leadership to Transcend Cultural Boundaries," the camp emphasized leadership training and interfaith dialogue.
