U.S. Projects Help Agriculture and Business Development in Davao and Datu Paglas

A mother and child in the farming community of Bonawan in the Datu Paglas region of Mindanao walk across a newly-constructed irrigation structure that will help local farmers better control water flow to their rice fields. The structure was built with assistance from the American people through the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The GEM program is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development and administers hundreds of programs and projects throughout Mindanao to improve infrastructure, education, governance, business development, and job creation.
