U.S. Military servicemen met a U.S.-chartered emergency relief flight at the airport to help unload the more than 1,000 boxes of supplies onto Philippine National Red Cross trucks destined for Bicol, the region devastated this month by Typhoon Reming. The American people, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), $130,000 worth of supplies that included 200 rolls of plastic sheeting for shelter, 7,600 water containers, and 7,000 family hygiene kits.
