During a Thanksgiving Day visit to Zamboanga, Ambassador Kristie A. Kenney and U.S. Army Major General David Fridovich visited the Reception and Study Center for Children, an orphanage that looks after abandoned, abused, and neglected children. During the visit, they toured the orphanage and worked with both Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and JSOTF troops to distribute a truckload of clothes, toys, and supplies donated by the families and friends of U.S. military personnel.
