The U.S. Embassy, led by Ambassador Kristie A. Kenney, honored the services and sacrifices of American and Filipino veterans on November 11 in the annual Veterans' Day ceremony at the American Cemetery and Memorial in Ft. Bonifacio. November 11 is the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. Called Veterans' Day in the U.S. and Remembrance Day in other countries, it is a day to remember and recognize the service of the armed forces. Pictured above, veterans watch as representatives from the U.S. Embassy, Philippine Government, and various foreign embassies laid wreaths to honor those who sacrificed their lives in World War I.
