U.S. Embassy Brings Battery Dance Company to Manila; Audiences Wowed by Performances and Classes

As part of the ongoing 60th Anniversary of Philippine-American Friendship, the U.S. Embassy sponsored the visit of the Battery Dance Company of New York (BDC), an internationally recognized dance group that is currently touring in Asia. BDC's founder, Jonathan Hollander, brought five dancers to the Philippines for two performances at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (pictured above) and master classes in the styles of ballet, modern dance, and hip-hop.

The Company visited the Philippine for two days as part of a tour of Asia; they gave two performances and worked with local dance students on ballet, modern dance, and hip-hop.
