The USNS Concord, a combat stores ship, visited Subic Bay in mid September to take on supplies. Combat stores ships resupply U.S. Navy ships while they are at sea, delivering essential items such as food and fuel. The USNS Concord purchased thousands of dollars worth of goods and supplies from local Philippine vendors, including local fruits and vegetables such as celery, peppers, mangoes, pineapples, and watermelons, during its restocking in Subic Bay.
