Manila Crowds Delighted with U.S. Navy Showband's 3 Free Concerts

Members of the United States Navy Showband's brass section entertain the crowd during a free public concert held at Baywalk on Roxas Boulevard, Manila, on May 21. The band is in the Philippines with the U.S. Navy hospital ship Mercy, which is in the Western Pacific region and Southeast Asia as part of a five-month humanitarian tour.
Nearly 3,000 people crowded Baywalk to listen to the U.S. Navy Showband's free public concert. The band played for more than an hour, delighting the crowd with music ranging from modern pop hits to 1960s favorites.
The U.S. Navy Showband boasts 16 talented Navy musicians who have toured internationally to places as diverse as Africa, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. The band is in the Philippines with the U.S. Navy hospital ship Mercy, which will spend one month in the country providing much-needed medical services to residents in the southern Philippines.
A small child is delighted to meet a U.S. Navy officer during one of the U.S. Navy Showband's free public concerts in Manila. The band is in the Philippines with the USNS Mercy, a hospital ship that was last deployed to Southeast Asia following the December 2004 tsunami.
The U.S. Navy Showband has a brass section, percussionists, guitar and strings, and professional singers - all U.S. Navy officers who carry on the proud tradition of Navy Music.
U.S. Navy officers passed out free souvenirs to children at the U.S. Navy Showband's free public concert at Baywalk in Manila on May 21. The band, which is part of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet Band, performed three free concerts in Manila from May 21-23.
The crowd at Robinson Place Mall, Manila, was thrilled to hear the U.S. Navy Showband perform in a free public concert on May 22. The band is in the Philippines with the USNS Mercy, a hospital ship which has special medical equipment and a team of multi-specialized medical professionals to provide services ashore and on board the ship.
One of the U.S. Navy Showband's singers entertained the crowd in a free public concert at Robinson Place Mall in Manila. The 16-member band traveled to the Philippines with the USNS Mercy, a hospital ship on a five-month humanitarian tour of Southeast Asia to provide various medical and dental services.
