U.S., Philippine Forces Donate Food, Clothing for Zamboanga Fire Victims

A military serviceperson from the U.S. Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines (JSOTF-P) carries a bag of rice that was donated by U.S. and Philippine Armed Forces to the Zamboanga City Chapter Red Cross for the victims of the fire that burned 816 houses and displaced 2,600 people.
U.S. Military service members from the Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines (JSOTF-P) and Armed Forces of the Philippines service members donated bags of rice and clothes to aid victims of the March 23 Zamboanga City fire that displaced 2,600 people. The items were given to the Philippines Red Cross for distribution.
Four U.S. Military servicemen visit the bedside of a 3-year-old Filipino girl who received their donated blood, which is a type that is rarely found in the Philippines. The child is suffering from typhoid fever and anemia, and the blood was required for her recovery. With the blood donations of the four U.S. Military servicemen, the child will soon be going home healthy and happy.
A U.S. Military serviceperson flinches while giving blood at the Zamboanga City Medical Center Lab. He was one of four U.S. Military blood donors who donated their blood to a 3-year-old Filipino girl suffering from typhoid fever and anemia. Doctors at the Zamboanga City Medical Center in Mindanao contacted officials of the Joint Special Operations Task Force - Philippines (JSOTF-P) to see if any U.S. Military personnel had the necessary blood type to save the girl's life.
