Ambassador Ricciardone visits Davao, chats with students, attends U.S.-assisted activities

The Ambassador also delivered remarks and presented certificates to 35 policemen in Mindanao who participated in a three-week course in basic criminal investigation that was funded by U.S. Department of Justice ’s International Criminal Investigation Training Assistance Program (ICITAP). Region II Police Director Simeon Dizon (photo on left) also presided over the event.

Partially supported by a grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the halfway house helps women from rural Mindanao towns who are victims of human trafficking.
