U.S. Delegation arrives for President Arroyo’s inauguration

U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Anthony Pricipi congratulates President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on her election for a second term. Secretary Principi made a courtesy call on President Arroyo upon arriving in Manila on June 29 as head of the U.S. delegation that President George W. Bush sent to attend President Arroyo’s inauguration in Cebu on June 30.

Admiral Thomas Fargo (left), Commander, U.S. Pacific Command, and U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Francis J. Ricciardone (second, left) join Secretary Principi in the courtesy call on the President in Malacañang Palace. Admiral Fargo and Ambassador Ricciardone are members of the U.S. Presidential Delegation sent by President Bush for President Arroyo’s inauguration. The other members of the eight-man delegation are: Mr. Jim Cain, partner at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP; Ms. Maryles Casto, owner and founder of Casto Travel; Mr. George M. Drysdale, chairman and CEO of the Marsman-Drysdale Group; Mr. Neal McCoy, a country music entertainer; and Mrs. Susan Ralston, executive assistant to the Senior Advisor to President Bush.
