President Arroyo welcomes President Bush
in State visit arrival ceremony

President Bush offers a toast to President Arroyo during the State Dinner held in his and Mrs. Bush’s honor. He said: “Once again, we face determined enemies of freedom -- the terrorists and their allies. Once again, we are depending on one another in an hour of need. Once again, we are relying on the strength of the great alliance between our two countries. Once again, we will prevail.”

 

President Bush delivers his remarks to the American and Filipino employees of the U.S. Embassy in Manila, as well as to members of the American community in the Philippines who came to the Embassy to greet him and Mrs. Bush. With him on stage are (l-r): the Ambassador’s wife, Dr. Marie Ricciardone; First Lady Laura Bush; and Ambassador Francis Ricciardone.
