POSITION: Peace Corps Executive Assistant
CLOSING DATE: January 16, 2006
WORK DURATION: Full time-40 hours per week

The U.S. Peace Corps seeks a qualified individual to serve as Executive Assistant to the Peace Corps Country Director (CD). The Executive Assistant will coordinate the daily schedule of the Country Director, as well as draft correspondence, maintain files and organize representational functions. The Executive Assistant will be supervised by the Country Director.

Duties include:

  • Review, revision and maintenance the Country Director's daily schedule
  • Drafting of official correspondence for the Count~ Director's signature
  • Coordinating communication and between the Executive Office and visitors. Maintenance of database of official Peace Corps contacts
  • Management of representational communications, protocol and events
  • Organization and maintenance of executive files
  • Facilitation of New Staff Orientation for incoming employees
  • Support of post safety and security program

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • At least 5 years experience in professional office setting
  • Level IV speaking/reading English and Tagalog
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Ability to work in international setting
  • Hardworking, reliable and diligent with excellent inter-personal skills
