NINOY AQUINO FELLOWS.  (Top photo:) U.S. Ambassador Francis Ricciardone (left) and former President Corazon Aquino presented to journalist Eileen G. Aquino, Jr. Fellowships for Professional Development during a ceremony held at the ambassador's residence on February 5.  (Lower photo:)  Sultan Abdulgani Batua (center) received a similar award on behalf of his brother-in-law and interfaith dialogue advocate Taha M. Basman.  Established in 1988 by the U.S. Embassy to commemorate the late Senator Benigno S. Aquino, Jr.'s accomplishments in public service and the media, the fellowship awards allow recipients to travel to the U.S. to meet and exchange views with their professional colleagues.
 


Former President Corazon Aquino (top, left) and Ambassador Francis Ricciardone (top, right) delivered the keynote remarks during the awarding ceremony.  Mrs. Molly Stephenson (left, lower photo), Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer of the Embassy, was master of ceremonies.
 


Mr. W.
