Visa Point™ for Crewing Agencies
The VisaPoint ™ system allows crewing agencies to schedule visa interview appointments online for seafarers applying for a Transit/Crew Visa (C-1/D) or a Crewmembers Working on Outer Continental Shelf (B-1/OCS)*. Accredited crewing agencies will be provided a Login ID to access the crewing agency features of VisaPoint™. For information on how to become accredited, please click here.
Once the system is accessed, a personal identification number (PIN) is required for each appointment to be booked. Each seafarer PIN costs US$3, and may be paid for through credit card, either Visa or MasterCard. Through the crewing agency features of VisaPoint ™, companies can purchase multiple PINs, and coordinate the appointments of multiple applicants. Please note that PINs expire 90 days after purchase if not used to schedule an appointment.
Within the crewing agency section of VisaPoint ™ , each PIN allows for one (1) substitution and two (2) reschedules. Any changes or cancellation must be done at least three business days (excluding U.S. and Philippine Holidays and weekends) before the appointment date. If an appointment must be changed after this deadline, a new PIN must be purchased.
* Through VisaPoint™, all seafarer appointments are booked as C-1/D appointments, even if the applicant is applying for a B-1 visa for Outer Continental Shelf (B-1/OCS). When the applicant appears at the Embassy for the scheduled interview, s/he should state the requested visa type.
Note: When you purchase a PIN, you will enter the applicant’s name and passport number. Any later edit to the name (for instance, to correct typographical errors) will count as a substitution.
