Medical Examinations
 
     
 
  The Nonimmigrant Visa Unit requires medical examinations for nonimmigrant visa applicants in certain cases, such as:
     
   
1. B-2 visa applicant for those donating an organ, bone marrow, etc. for transplant to a family member in the United States.
   
2. At the course of the application, an applicant who was temporarily refused under Section 221(g) of the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, pending presentation of medical proof establishing relationship. The applicant and/or a relative, who was/were requested to undergo medical examinations, must proceed to St. Luke's Medical Center Extension Clinic, located at 1177 J. Bocobo Street, Ermita, Manila, Philippines, Telephone Nos.: 521-0020, 521-8647 or 524-6083, together with the request letter provided by the Embassy.
 
     
   
 
  The Philippine government requires overseas skilled and professional workers and household workers to undergo certain examinations and documentations prior to leaving the Philippines.
