Effective immediately, the Consular Section will
discontinue drop box service for all nonimmigrant visa applicants
who wish to revalidate a previously issued visa or apply for visas
on behalf of their children under the age of 14. All such applicants
must now appear in person. Parents or guardians of children under
the age of 14 must appear.
This does not apply to A-1, A-2 , G-1, G-2, and G-4 applicants. Applicants
applying for one of these categories may continue to provide documentation
on any workday between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. at Window 12 in the Consular
Section, and need not make a personal appearance unless requested
to do so after an examination of the application papers.
Please note that the Embassy is closed for Philippine and United
States holidays. The documents required at the time of drop off must
include: 1) a completed nonimmigrant visa application, forms DS-156
and DS-157; 2) a passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond
the current date; 3) a diplomatic note or note verbale; 4) a travel
authorization letter; and 5) other relevant documentation as requested.
Dependent immediate family member applicants must submit a birth and
marriage certificate issued by the National Statistics Office on its
security paper as evidence of filiations. A representative submitting
applications must present a letter of authority and proper identification
on behalf of A-1, A-2, G-1, G-2 and G-4 applicants.
