If one has an urgent need to travel, the applicant or his or her representative can request an earlier interview appointment by following the instructions below:
For VisaPoint™
Please make sure that you have obtained a VisaPoint™ confirmation number prior to making your early appointment request on-line. Submit your early appointment request through the VisaPoint™ web page.
For the Call Center
You may request an early appointment through the Call Center at the same time you make your original appointment. Alternatively, if you already have an existing Call Center confirmation number, you may contact the Call Center again and request an early appointment. The telephone number for the Call Center is 1-909-101-7878.
We cannot accommodate all early appointment requests due to the large demand for visa interviews. Early appointments will be given to applicants where urgent and legitimate travel needs are warranted. Requesting an earlier appointment for a second interview soon after a recent nonimmigrant visa application refusal is generally not entertained.
You will receive a response from our office within two business days. Due to the high volume of communications received in our office, follow-up inquiries will not be entertained.
For information on current appointment availability, see the Appointment Availability and Processing Times page.
