U.S. Ambassador Offers Good Luck Wishes to Manila South Softball Team Headed for World Series in Kalamazoo, Michigan
On Thursday, July 26, 2012 Ambassador Harry K. Thomas, Jr. met with members of the Manila South Softball Team. These female athletes recently won the Asia Pacific Big League Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia, and are on their way to Kalamazoo, Michigan this weekend, to compete in the Big League Girls Softball World Series that starts on August 3, 2012.
The Big League Girls Softball World Series is one of four “fastpitch” softball World Series tournaments that make up part of the Little League International Tournament, where local league teams from around the world work to qualify, and compete against the best international teams. In doing so, they create life-long friends and lasting memories.
We wish them luck! Play Ball!
