Consular Fees

New Consular Fees Effective July 13, 2010

Effective July 13, 2010, new fees will go into effect for certain consular services.  These fee changes are the result of a detailed and exhaustive Cost of Service Study conducted by the Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs and completed in June 2009.  The fees that have been adjusted now more closely reflect the true cost of providing these services which, by law, must be recovered through the collection of fees.  All applicants for these services on or after July 13, 2010, will be charged these revised fees, regardless of when any appointment for the service may have been made.

Under the new fee schedule, passport and other consular fees are set as follows:
