Group Appointments
Group Appointments
Group appointments are available for visa applicants under the B1/B2 classification with the same purpose of travel and are traveling on the same date. Examples of groups include, but are not limited to, sports teams, school groups, and groups travelling for competitions. Family members traveling together for pleasure do not qualify for group appointments.
The number of applicants allowed in one group appointment request is between 5 and 10. If your group has more than 10 members, you have to make separate requests to accommodate them. For example, a group with 30 applicants must place at least three separate requests, each with a unique identifying name related to the group (i.e., “XY Basketball Team 1”, “XY Basketball Team 2”, “XY Basketball Team 3”, and so forth.) Failure to comply with the conditions of the group appointment request will result in the denial of the request.
Once approved, the requestor will receive a notification through e-mail with instructions on how to book a group appointment. Please ensure that any member of the group has not yet booked an appointment. The appointment system will not allow an applicant to be added to a group unless the existing appointment is cancelled.
To apply for group scheduling, please follow the steps provided in our Group Appointment Request website.
The Embassy call center and the online appointment website can also provide general information about visa application procedures and technical assistance related to requesting and scheduling a group appointment.
