U.S. Embassy Brings the U.S. Election Experience to Cebu City

The United States Embassy will bring the 2012 U.S. Presidential Elections to Cebu City at SM City Cebu on November 7 starting from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  “U.S. Election Watch 2012” is open to the public and all activities will be free of charge.

U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Brian L. Goldbeck will travel to Cebu for the first time to open the event.  “I look forward to meeting new Cebuano friends and sharing with them this proud democratic tradition of the United States,” said Mr. Goldbeck.  “This Election Day will be an exciting one, and I hope to see many Cebuanos – as well as Americans resident in Cebu – on November 7.”

In partnership with SM City Cebu, U.S. Election Watch 2012 will feature mock election, live updates of election returns in the United States, election trivia, a free photo booth, and election-related information through interaction points. This event is a unique opportunity for Cebuanos to meet representatives of the U.S. Embassy to answer questions about elections and democracy in the United States.
